Accoya windows and doors

A property in Dartmoor, England invested in Accoya wood for their windows, doors and brand new orangery.

Bespoke joinery manufacturer, Nathan McCarter Joinery, worked closely with the client to provide an outstanding project from drawings and design to manufacture and installation. The property now has Accoya wood for the following; 6 leaf bifold doors, single door, large 4 metre screen casement window and single unit frames on their orangery. As well as an Accoya front door, quadruple casement window and 2 double casement windows all with arched glazing bars.

As an old mining cottage, the property was already full of character and Accoya wood was the ideal choice to ensure new joinery products would complement the existing style. Nathan McCarter Joinery handcrafted and hand-fitted the new windows and doors, manufacturing to precise measurements required.

The homeowner wanted to meet specific building regulations including security and thermal efficiency. The exceptional benefits of Accoya wood enabled this to happen. With added benefits, such as a sustainable material choice which is also highly durable and stable.

The Accoya was finished using Sikkens in Rubbol 3311 satin finish. Using their in-house spray system, Nathan McCarter Joinery was able to match the property’s existing colour scheme which was another requirement of the homeowner.
