People and Partners

Think Safe, Act Safe

Fostering a culture of robust health & safety (H&S) is a key priority across our operations. H&S is the responsibility of every employee at Accsys, and our approach is based on continuous improvement.

Approved Manufacturers Programme

Our Approved Manufacturers Programme supports manufacturing partners with training and best practice in the production and use of Accoya wood, to help guarantee high-quality products for end users. The programme also helps our partners understand the environmental benefits of the materials they sell.

RIBA approved CPDs

Accoya wood is part of the Continuing Professional Development providers network, which offers a range of free seminars on industry topics such as acetylated wood and cladding.

A non-toxic product

A non-toxic product

Extending the life of wood, safely.

Accoya wood is enhanced using our proprietary acetylation process. The end result is a non-toxic product with a significantly increased lifespan. Our recognition of Platinum status in the Material Health category of the Cradle to Cradle® Certification, the highest scoring level, demonstrates that Accoya poses no danger to either the environment or human health.

People in the supply chain

Throughout Accoya’s supply chain, partners are certified by the FSC® in order to maintain the high standards that protect our workers and communities.

Forestry workers and communities located near supply chain operations are protected by a regulated system that maintains their social and economic welfare. Every year, we review and update policies and codes where necessary, and in many cases, higher standards than required are implemented.

Our commitment to human welfare has contributed to Accoya reaching the Cradle to Cradle ® Social Fairness Gold Standard.

Society and Community

Society and Community

Our commitment to sustainability benefits a broad range of stakeholders. There are communities who depend on forests, so it’s important those livelihoods are safeguarded by FSC® established standards. And communities dear to the hearts of our colleagues benefit from volunteering programmes and charitable partnerships which include Mind, Trees for All and Coalition for Rainforest Nations.
